Philosophy Statement
Our program is tailored to meet the needs of each student. we are constantly evolving and changing our activities to encourage independence in each child.
Our objectives are to help the child develop autonomy as a learner, to have comfortable and productive peer relationships, to learn those basic skills and concepts necessary for intellectual development, to be aware of and to organize his/her environment in terms of him/herself, to establish for the child effective learning strategies and to kindle an excitement for learning.
We need parents’ encouragement and cooperation. The school and the home can be extensions of one another.
We feel, as teachers, that we grow, change and learn along with our pupils. Teaching is not a nine-to-five job. It’s a full-time vocation. Our goal is to be sensitive to the needs of each child, to prepare materials based on the understanding of those needs, to know the materials and activities available, and to approach each student with love and understanding. These are the basic qualities of the teacher.
Our philosophy is based on love and respect for each child. We understand and accept that each child is a special and unique individual and a beautiful gift entrusted into our care.
Our warm and loving home-like environment provides each child with the love and joy of learning and allows and encourages each child to realize their fullest potential in all areas of life.
Our school is a community of mind and spirit.
Our Mission
We are professional people working together to provide a warm, loving, and nurturing environment for our students. We share a vision of peace, both inner and in our world. We work to achieve that peace through our own daily experiences and through the skills we are developing ourselves. We strive to meet the needs of the students.
Children need to feel loved and cared for with respect. By providing this and an environment conductive for learning, children will become loving, compassionate, respectful human beings with a desire and love for learning and respect for one another.
Children learn what they live…
